Installation Requirements for Outdoor Fixed Fire Monitors
The installation of fixed fire monitors outdoors must adhere to the following specifications:
Coverage and Performance
The monitor’s water stream must fully cover the protected area and objects, with an intensity sufficient to meet fire suppression or cooling standards.
Ensure the water stream remains unobstructed by any objects to guarantee effective firefighting performance.
Optimal Positioning
Install the monitor on the windward side of the protected area (aligned with the region’s prevailing annual wind direction). This placement enhances water stream coverage and ensures operational efficiency.
For automatic targeting systems or fixed monitors, avoid installing on the leeward side to prevent wind interference, which could reduce the effective spray radius.
