Does the fire water monitor system have to set up a separate fire pipe network?

In the fire fighting system of the entire building, there will be more fire fighting pipelines, such as fire hydrant systems, fire water monitor systems, automatic sprinkler systems, and fire pump systems. However, when these fire-fighting pipelines are arranged separately, they need a lot of pipelines, and the labor cost is high. Many users will ask whether the fire-fighting water monitor system must be equipped with a separate fire-fighting pipe network? If the pipeline is shared, is there any standard to be based on?

The current smart fire water monitor system is becoming simpler, more efficient, and less difficult to install, which is a good thing for users; however, the fire hydrant system specified in the standard is also a necessary system for buildings. Many users consider the fire water monitor system and The hydrant system can share pipes or pumps.

First of all, let’s look it up from the standard. It is stipulated in clause 4.5 of the standard "Technical Standards for Automatic Tracking and Positioning Jet Fire Extinguishing System": The automatic fire monitor fire extinguishing system should be equipped with an independent fire pump and water supply pipe network, jet type automatic jet fire extinguishing system and spraying Type automatic jet fire extinguishing system should be equipped with independent fire pump and water supply pipe network.

4.5.3 When the spray type automatic jet fire extinguishing system or the spray type automatic jet fire extinguishing system and the automatic sprinkler system share the fire pump and water supply pipe network, the following requirements shall be met:

    1 When the two systems are working at the same time, the system design water volume, water pressure and water consumption for one fire extinguishing shall meet the requirements of the simultaneous use of the two systems;

    2 When the two systems are not working at the same time, the system design water volume, water pressure and one-time extinguishing water volume should meet the requirements of the larger system;

3 The two systems should be able to operate normally without affecting each other.

From the standard, we can make it clear that the fire water monitor system can share pipes or pumps with the fire hydrant system, but there are still conditions in between.

First, the automatic fire monitor system requires a separate pipeline. The flow of the automatic fire monitor system is relatively large, generally greater than 16L/S, so the scene used is either a Category C building or a scene with a relatively large space.

Second, the fire-fighting water monitor system below 16L/S can share pipes and pumps, but it needs to meet the requirements for the use of the two systems.
The fire-fighting water monitor system uses the fire-fighting pipe alone, which needs to be determined according to the standards and site conditions. For details, you can consult the manufacturer of the military patrol brand fire-fighting water monitor.
